Click on a machine name to read my evaluation. The Basic Mark V System Building My Shopsmith Building My Shopsmith How has Shopsmith changed my life? ---------------------------------------- Accessories that I chose to compliment my Mark V
| My name is Ken Hudson. I have over thirty years in and out of the trades and consider myself an accomplished carpenter. I took several hiatuses during this thirty years to learn about electronics and become a certified electronics technician with specialty in digital electronics. I am now a self employed entrepreneur who, besides maintaining this website, works 40 hours a week as an Account Executive for an Electronics Test and Measurement company called TESLA. I spend my spare time using my Mark V and my previous carpentry experience to supplement my income. Back in the late 1970's I became proficient at marine carpentry at a school called Tradewinds Academy in southern California. 6 months after graduating and being placed at a company called Ericson Yachts I returned to Tradewinds Academy only this time as the carpentry instructor. When I got laid off due to budget cuts from the state of California I opened up a small custom cabinet shop with a friend of mine. We were quite successful at it until the bottom fell out of the construction industry in the mid 80's. I joined the Navy in 1989 and learned electronics and computers which is the field that I am currently employed. Throughout the years I have always stayed close to carpentry in some capacity or other. I am a Shopsmith Mark V owner and am not an employee of Shopsmith. I am not trying to sell you anything. I am only here to provide you with good, reliable information about the machine to anyone who is interested in learning more about it. I hope that you enjoy it and send me your opinion.
